1 Booking your recovery in with a qualified lymphatic therapist means that they are available to deliver a protocol of sessions around your surgery date. Depending on the type of surgery you’ve had, you will need a number of sessions as close to your surgery date as possible to be able to reduce the burden on your lymphatics and reduce the peak of your swelling. Ideally a pre surgical session is advisable particularly in the case of tummy tuck operations where your lymphatic system will need re routing . You will also have chance to meet with your therapist to be given after care advice leading up to and immediately after your operation to give your recovery a great start.
